I've pioneered TONS of stuff as a matter of fact. I built a Pons system out of scrap parts and used it to create a neural link with an alien species to stop them from invading my world. I saved my entire PLANET.

I wish but I didn't have the equipment for that sort of thing. My project wasn't exactly approved by the marshall hence the spare parts so I had to do everything kind of under the radar. And on a time crunch.
It was more of a recon mission. Turns out the Kaiju were part of a hivemind so I was able to slip in there and yank out all the necessary information to close the portal between our worlds so they couldnt keep sending monsters after us.

Strip mining, basically. Their world is out of resources and they were trying to exterminate us so they could harvest our planet.

Um well the timing of me ending up here was pretty bad. It had only been like uhh a day or so since I did the first drift. The last thing I remember from home is the post-canceling-the-apocalypse party and even thats a blur since as you can imagine there was a lot of alcohol and I mean I hadn't slept in like

I wish I could say I was surprised by the priorities of the PPDC, but people are people regardless of universes, I suppose. What were their priorities, if not studying their invading forces? Closing the breach, obviously, but I assume people were being killed by the creatures-- kaiju?-- they sent through.

More realistically efforts were concentrated on closing the breach yeah but then PPDC decided to cut the Jaeger program in favor of the wall of life which

The first Kaiju that encountered it tore it down in like seven seconds.

I didnt want to piss you off I guess. I liked working with you. We got along pretty well all things considered like we could fight but it wasn't personal you know? So many people take everything personally.
So we went in more of a friendly direction than a casual fling direction and I didn't want to mess that up.

It's smart but not that smart. It tends to copy stuff it seems me interacting with a lot.
