I definitely don't have that strong of feelings for the guy, but I know going back, it's gonna be awkward trying to readjust our relationship. [He shrugs.] It'd be easier to just fall back into screaming at each other all the time.

What the hell did she mean when she said that she loved you if not, like, literally that?

I certainly wouldn't tell someone I loved them while I was killing them when there were ample opportunities to do so earlier, if that's how I actually felt!

That- that's terrible to do to someone! It was terrible of her so it must have been to hurt me of course! She must have thought it was funny when I tried to confess it back! She probably laughed afterwards!

I think it's more like... She ran out of time. She wasn't expecting you to die in the second week. Your impending death really put a timer on things, y'know? I told her to make sure not to leave anything unsaid because she'd regret it otherwise.

[Laying that on someone like two seconds before murdering them is decidedly Uncool, he knows, but he can sympathize.]

And, no, she didn't laugh about it afterward. I think all of that is just a front, y'know? She wasn't like that when we were alone.

[She ran out of time?] Did she think I was expecting to die immediately after getting here? I've been uninvolved with anyone for decades at this point, why would you wait until that moment?!

[Austria physically recoils at the question, unaware that she accidentally already betrayed her feelings about Prussia in the middle of her rant.]

Austria's legs abruptly cave, dropping her to sit awkwardly on the floor.]

Even if I did possibly develop some sort of... feeling of the positive variety for Prussia over the course of these last few weeks...

It's irrelevant. Despite what she may have said in a moment of high emotion and stress I am quite sure that she has no interest in a woman such as myself.
