week 1 - lenka - saturday post-trial
[Tracking down Lenka is about as difficult as you'd think it'd be to track down a giant monster cat.
Which is to say still pretty hard because Newt is bad at directions and also being observant. Anyway, after a while, he finds pay dirt!! Hey, cat bud.]
You doing alright?
[He's real bad at this empathy/sympathy thing, sorry in advance.]

Eh, I mean, anyone suspecting Hermann just flat-out wasn't thinking considering there's no way he could've pulled that off, but I'm not about to take it personally. This game sets us up to suspect each other. Hell, you could be a Reaper for all I know.
[He says that too flippantly? Look he's bad at this cat-and-mouse stuff, okay?]
But that wasn't my question.

[Well, he knows at least two of them, and they're not the type of people to hang someone out to dry no matter what -- he believes in that. Lenka closes his eyes and shakes his head in response to the rest of Newt's logic; of course he knows it's logic, just like they try to be logical for the trial. Most of them. He's been doing his best.
But in the end, is it really logic that saved them?]
None of this makes sense. This place, this Game, what it wants from us. I should be better than this, I-- [his voice has descended to a growl, but he cuts himself off after a moment; that's not what's important here] --are trials really the best way to find Reapers?
[Now he's answering the question with another question, but that's the best he can do at the moment.]
That's what I keep thinking about.

What's the alternative to trials? You thinking about playing vigilante, Lenka?

[And when they're basically ghosts floating outside the rule of law -- like, honestly, he has a feeling that what they're already doing can't be more of a mess than whatever Newt's implying. It's also a little bit of a serious question, though: it's not like this is a system any of them have ever dealt with before.]
I don't really have a plan yet. Max, and the Composer, and the Reapers -- none of them are really going to help us.
I guess I'm just tired of waiting for someone to die before we go looking.
