[Tracking down Lenka is about as difficult as you'd think it'd be to track down a giant monster cat.

Which is to say still pretty hard because Newt is bad at directions and also being observant. Anyway, after a while, he finds pay dirt!! Hey, cat bud.]

[To be fair, Lenka likes to scale buildings and other structures post-trials and executions, and sometimes after investigations, too. It's sort of his way of unwinding and giving himself room to come to terms with things. That being said, he's not full out avoiding people; so Newt finds him once he comes down.

Anyway, first he blinks at him as though he didn't quite understand the question, and then his ears go down a little.]

We caught the Reaper. Nobody else will die this week. [not quite an answer, but he's bad at the empathy/sympathy exchange thing, too, in his own way] And... I'm sorry for dragging your Partner into it.

[Regardless of his intentions, he can recognize that he made impulsive decisions when backed into a logical and emotional corner. It's an old bad habit.]
