[Not long after the results go up, Newt makes it his mission!! to track down Ranpo. This frickin' guy, man.

Once he finds him, he does slow his roll a little bit. He likes Ranpo and, apparently, trials really bring out the worst in people. Here's hoping Newt can figure out what his deal is.]

[ snaps back. but the way that he deflates immediately after is a sign that it's really nothing personal. look, he likes newt, he's just angry and frustrated and snappy right now. ]

For what it's worth, yeah, it was Terra, and twenty of us voted for him. Apparently a bunch of people tried to abstain by voting for themselves, too. So, uh, we got it right, but we sure could've used your help back there.

Would have been higher if there was less junk evidence throwing off what I can do.

[ snorts ]

You all don't deserve my help. [ grumbles ] You know Shinssin-san was the only person who bothered to tell me that I could discount his completely uselsss pictures? That helped. The rest of you all didn't.

At this rate the Reapers don't even need to manipulate evidence for future weeks, you all seem to be doing that just fine.

Are you kidding me? People are dying! [Enjoy that screechy Newt yelling, Ranpo.] What the hell kind of detective are you if you're going to turn your nose up just because we're not patting your ass? No one here knows anything about solving freaking murders! We just got thrown into this!

If you want me to help you solve your murders, I go with the evidence. The evidence pointed to Pink-san with overwhelmingly certainty last week, so it was easy to convict her. You give me unrelated photographs and obviously ridiculous theories that you treat like they're legitimate avenues to investigate - things like "the bear strangled Lion" - you're just wasting everyone's time.

If you really cared about people dying, Irezumi-san, you would let me do my job without making it more difficult than it has to be! What if Terter-san's pseudo confession couldn't tip the scales in his favour? Are you willing to be responsible for having to sentence someone innocent to death with your vote?!

When you give me junk evidence like that, you all show me that you're not taking this seriously.

[ there's a cold glare. ]

If you all don't take it seriously, I don't owe you all anything. Aside from Mr. Fancy Hat, I only met you all two weeks ago and you expect me to solve everything? We're practically strangers, Irezumi-san.
