Yeah, people disagree all the time. [A beat.] Me and Hermann are a perfect example of that. We disagree, like, basically constantly. But... I still trust him. Hell, I trust him more than I trust most people. I know he won't hesitate to challenge me if he thinks I'm doing something wrong, or... There's a lot of honesty in arguing, you know?

[He chews on his lip for a moment.]

Monika and Izaya really cared about Jacopo, right? Whether or not they were right to come after me and Hermann for killing him, the fact that they came after us anyway... They wouldn't do that if they were just, I don't know, pretending to be allies with him to get information or something like that. Arguing--accusing someone of murder, even--that's a hard thing to do. You don't do hard things for stuff you don't care about.
